I think in this country probably the easiest ones to get hold of would be a Specialized one - but some of them are only B90 rather than B95 by the looks.

Do check, but I think the Specialized Chamonix and Air Force helmets both meet Snell B-95.

I've always found Supreme Cycles very good - they've cut down and threaded spokes for me in the past (lot of work for 40p's worth of sale for someone who's just walked in off the street) when they didn't have the right size to hand.

I don't use them a lot, as I work in Manchester and buy most of my stuff there, but if I could only use one place in Crewe, it would be Supreme.

Just to be awkward, where do you use in manchester? I frequent that area too.
Mainly Bicycle Boutique (near Sugden Sports Centre, just off Grosvenor Street).

Top fellas - always ready to order stuff in, have good stock of "bits" no one else seems to have, and do good work.

I hear good things about GBH (Tib street?) although I've never used them myself.

There's Harry Hall's on Whitworth Street west too, who are always good, if slightly pricey for some things.

Hi

Yeah, I will be trying on helmets, when I am fit to go out in my car to the shops again.

Likewise, I may go to the libary as sugested, when I am up to it.

Cheers

I apriciate any useful comment, so value your oppinion.

I want the best helmet I can get my hands on, pm will be sent to you in a second.

After my own reading, Snell B-95 is the most rigourous standard I can find.

Cheers

Dave

There is a list here, but to be honest they are a waste of money, still it is your money...

Hi

Many thanks for the link, will look at this tomorow.

If I could buy a helmet, that was for sale 10 years ago I would as I think the same, however this is not possible, so I have to do the best with what we have now.

Thanks again for the link Cunobelin

Cheers

Dave

If you want your cycle helmet to be effective in use you should replace it every three year max... SO don't buy one that is ten years old...
