Got here via a link in the haggis thread and I thought it not unworthy of a resurrection

Bull's penis

Went to a restaurant in China where this was their speciality. I didn't know, some Chinese friends took me. Being the polite chap I am I really tried and managed one I think. But I had a bowl full, braised. I can't begin to describe the complex cartilaginous structure of a bull's todger
You can still get them as dog treats. Dried out they resemble long rawhide chews. I think I'll leave them to the dog......

used to hate it as a child .... (my dad always had Roquefort cheese in the fridge)

I love it now (especially with a glass of good red wine) ...

It's a bit more complicated than that...
A salmon and cucumber sandwich. First food since yesterday and in advance of a fasting day tomorrow....

West Country casserole ( pork , cider and other assorted veg in a cider based gravy) with dumplings. Sadly I think the suet had turned and it was fecking rancid.

You never not ate at my mums if you liked a quiet life.

Chicken tarragon . Chicken in a white sauce with chopped tarragon in it . Looked like dog vomit .

Crab paste. Just the thought of it used to make me feel xx(, but i've just had some on toast and to be fair it's not bad. Oh on second thoughts. I've just belched and the taste came up....xx( And to make it worse i've washed it down with toffee flavoured tea!xx(

I never used to like gravy on Sunday dinner, now a days it's swimming in it!.

Whisky was another taste that took a while to nurture.

I have my curry extremely hot, that seems to have happened over the years too.

I once forced myself to eat one of these. Never again.

Bananas and Apples, almost all fruit in fact, save for "berries"...awful taste and texture. And that last is,I think,my main problem with fruit, though I am told that even as a child I was loth to eat anything .

I see I am not alone in not liking raw celery. However, as the basis for a tomato/pasta/shepherd's pie sauce etc, it is a must, as someone said upthread.
Not keen on tripe either, or stilton. But apart from that I'll eat anything designated as food.
Miss Goodbody wasn't too keen on the Vicar's "Sausage and Nut Surprise", and said she had to spit the sauce out, surreptitiously.

Smiley (sheep head).... a South African township delicacy .... actually, it's not too bad if spiced properly with salt and pepper:
