I have a fairly common Christian name, and a fairly common surname.
I used to work in London, for a big bank, and there was another member of staff with the same first name and surname working in another branch, only about a quarter of a mile from me. Staff were regularly moved around between branches, to gain experience in different business environments, and sometimes for promotions, and I always dreaded the possibility that he and I would end up in the same branch!
It never happened, but he married a girl working at my branch, so then she had the surname as me! Several customers asked if we had married....
Later, I used to buy my glasses from the local Specsavers, which had another customer of the same name as me, who lived in the same number house as me, albeit in a different street (obviously!)
Whenever I contacted the shop about anything, I always had to explain about the other guy, so as to be sure that they got the right person's records out!
