Most startling for me was a few nips of Bruichladdich Peat. It's the smokiest scotch I've ever tasted, and the next morning my pee smelt smoky.

I know this has knack all to do with sugar puffs, but I thought I'd share.

Weren't they always like polystyrene?

Mr Mumford, Mr Claypole and the Edwardian gent, and the witch played by Molly Weir. And Miss Poppoff in later series, and Dobbin the horse.

Looking back, I realise thet Mr Claypole was my first crush.

Has anyone noticed how revolting Cadburys chocolate is now since they were taken over by american Kraft foods (the plastic cheese makers)?

Palm oil replacing some of the cocoa butter. But it's not as simple as being the Americans' fault. Different versions are sold in different countries according to a combination of consumer preferences and whatever adulteration Cadbury can get away with (the FDA doesn't allow "chocolate" to be adulterated with vegetable oil, but the Hershey-made version has more sugar than milk). The Kiwis get the best deal, because they kicked up a fuss about the palm oil and got all the cocoa butter back.

I love sugar puffs, but I prpbably only have them twice a year. Mysteriously, sometimes my wee smells of sugar puffs when I havem't had them for months, and I can't work out what dietary feature might be behind it.

Oh possibly. I'm going to have to use the power of google...

According to imbd.com: "Fred Mumford - Originally founded Rentaghost after becoming a ghost in a shipping accident six months previously and runs the business for a short time...Harold Meaker - Originally the spooks landlord but later took over the business when Fred Mumford couldn't keep up with the rent."

They're a bit sweet and sickly first thing in the morning. If the sickly sweetness has been turned down maybe that's a good thing?

Same comment applies to Crunchy Nut Cornflakes.

However, that same attribute makes both of them a perfect accompanying dry snack to go with cheap lager/cider of an evening.

Disappointed to read about the Sugar Puff retrograde. I used to hide the packet when I was a kid so that so that they'd solidfy into one big sticky block, yum.

I have to go to the USA section in Tesco's to get my colourful Lucky Charms, it's poor do when the government wants to make you eat drab looking cereals.
