if you're really going at 20mph and more, why would you stop on a 70 mile ride?
Doing a 70 mile club ride with a cafe stop half way though. The club ride speed is an average of at least 20mph.
What sort of food would be a good choice to have at the cafe stop? Looking for something that would not sit too heavy on the stomach as I don't wish to feel nauseated for the remainder of the ride.
Also looking for something that will provide me with a good carbohydrate source to aid refuelling. Thinking that a sausage and egg sandwich would not be a good idea.
Does anyone know of any good articles on the web?
What are your tried and tested methods for refuelling?
Thanks
100 miles in 5 hours or less. We call that a chaingang where I come from

Because you've been riding at 20 mph for nearly two hours, perhaps?

Thats almost time trial pace, the best time I've done a 100 in is seven hours, and that was a long time ago.
quite so, Crankers, and it's heartwarming to see you sticking up for old-fashioned values.Anyway cafe stops are for wimps .
