I'm pro-helmet, anti-helmet law.
I'll always wear a helmet, but by no means should the law mandate the wearing of helmets, not only is there insufficient evidence on the subject to warrant it and the effect it could have to reduce cycling or even increase accidents (from motorists who think helmet law makes cyclists invulnerable and driving less carefully) but the state has no right to tell me what to put on my head.
I choose to err on the side of caution. My head, my choice.
