I will start I used mine for commuting/domestic and pleasure

My ridgeback velocity does most of my commuting/ domestic chores + a little bit of pleasure. My sirrus does the occasional chore but is mostly for pleasure. My Bianchi is pure pleasure. The velocity probably gets used most frequently.

I think this type of usage is more usually described as utility cycling.

All the bikes are of equal importance.

The SWorks, Dawes and Apollo can't carry 2 bottles of ginger beer, sausages, burgers etc.
The BSA can't do a 200 rando.
The SWorks hasn't got mudguards.
The Apollo can do a 100km Brevet, but not a 200, and goes to work when it rains.

I know which one I cherish the most. The one I haven't mentioned on this posting.

Mine are mostly used for, er, keeping in the lounge these days. But I suppose I'm a commuter at heart - I like to be using a bike to get somewhere, rather than just riding for the sake of it.

Like Rhythm Thief I prefer using my bike to get somewhere rather than just going out for a ride. Even my Saturday morning ride is for going out to get rolls, it just sometimes takes a couple of hours....
