It's linen in 35 degree C and 70 percent humidity - it wouldn't matter if I ironed it on the hour, it would still be wrinkled within 30 minutes!

Pretty close, I would guess. No plastic either - they are those kind of fabric office chairs. And I guess the answer to Crock's question is 'Japanese university business schools' since this picture was taken in one of them.
