No, I only read the One Tree series, about 20 years ago, must admit I wasn't as enthusiastic as a lot of my friends were at the time. But then I don't think anyone can beat the One Ring.

You've mentioned pink floyd a couple of times recently. I think it's some sort of attempt to appear cool.

Admitting to liking pink floyd is an absolute minefield, and I suggest you leave well alone for your future sanity.

Pink Floyd as a concept was Syd Barrett. The drugged up originator of the band who spent the last years of his life in peterborough, scared of coming back to london.

Syd barrett for me is one of the most shatteringly brilliant emotive song writers ever. I just need to think of a song like 'late night' and I am in tears (but I think that song is the most romantic beautiful thing ever confected by man).
