Another fan of Planet Rock, Radio2 for Pop Master and LBC for a good old moan.

I need complete silence in order to concentrate so I don't listen to anything at work. I've got perfect pitch so if there is any music going on, my brain automatically tunes into it and I am unable to concentrate on anything except the music! Even if I'm in a face to face conversation with someone I really struggle if there is any music in the background.

Had a few, uh, musical differences, in my last job....most of us liked either Planet Rock or 6 Music, and then there was one guy who HAD to have Capital FM on the WHOLE time [we nicknamed it Drew FM after him  ]. Non stop Jason De Rulo, JLS etc  xx( ....did catch him rocking out to Queen once so he wasn't a totally lost cause!

Depends who I'm working with. It'll either be witty and/or crude banter, anecdotes about a toddler, or a stream of conspiracy theories that would be funny if only he didn't actually believe them....

Punctuated by smashing glass and 'ooooof!' as we lift an especially heavy box.

Mandatory ear plugs + hard hat so even if there was music on you would not hear it over the nose of machinery ....
That and the usual male crude banter and a lot of talk about kicking a bag of wind about for which some people are paid way to much(runs and hides );)

When in the car between meetings it'll be Brazil, then CDs until H & J then CDs again. Used to listen to Chris Evans when he was on the tea time slot. Which reminds me, because of work schedule today I missed COTW, I hope Toby Lerone gets a mention......

Speak up, Classical buffs! There must be plenty of you out there! No need to get swamped in all the more contemporary stuff.

Actually, we're 'not allowed' to listen to music on headphones at work. Flippin' Elf'n'safety you see, we might have the volume turned too high and - er - 'damage our hearing'. Don't ask!!!

Needless to say no-one obeys, and no-one enforces, the rule

I seldom think of fetching out a CD from the plentiful stack in my desk, but yesterday was a 'bad day', just couldn't concentrate on anything. So on went the 'phones and out came a CD at random from the drawer. Turned out to be Mendelssohn's Violin concerto. Me like!

Radio headset at work so I tend to have either Moyles(sorry) in the mornings, or I'll plug my mp3 into it and have various plays, comedies etc.
Had to endure Key 103(Local Manc station) for a large part of todays shift, it's just wall to wall Rhianna and Katy Perry on a seemingly endless loop

Also quite enjoy Radio4, even womans hour doesn't put me off

I spend my time working alone. No company, no one to speak to. So for me it is usually Radio 4, or Radio 5. Another voice around is helpful. Even if what I am hearing is sometimes bull****

I listen to music occasionally but often I find it stops me concentrating. Sometimes nothing at all.
