Curry House curry with rice AND nan is a peculiarly British thing. Regional Indian food, carbs are Rice or Bread depending on region. South = Rice
North = bread
And bread would be chapati or paratha not naan.

I did hear someone referring to a friend as being "half rice half chips", as a, to be fair, non-judgemental euphemism for a bisexual man. I thought it quite funny as it didn't seem to be insult or meant unkindly

Back to culinary delights, as a South Wales boy(o) I must stress the correct pronunciation is "aaf-n-aaf", though I must be a bit posh as I tend to have either naan or rice rather than chips with my curry

Just to point out that Peshwari naan with curry is a crime against food.

Fair enough if you like it, but serve with ice cream as a dessert, would be delicious with cardamon ice cream.

Don't ruin a curry with it.

Just curry - no carbon laden chips or rice.

Mrs SD makes some nice low-carb roti's to go with a curry.

Pilau rice and then a nan bread which I don't eat till the next morning, as homemade Marmalade, black coffee and lightly toasted nan bread is great.

When i make a curry at home i always like a indian salad to accompany it, this is my favourite-
3-4 tomatoes chopped, small onion chopped, quarter of a cucumber chopped, 1 tsp salt, 4-5 tbs of lemon juice, half a tsp of cumin, 1 tbs of chopped fresh coriander. Measurements are approximate so adjust sweet n sour till its lip smackingly good!
I also have a mint raita and some mango pickle. :okay:
