What's your budget? What type of road riding will you be doing?
You need to give the good forum members more information.

In your budget ;- http://www.decathlon.co.uk/triban-5-road-bike-black-id_8239801.html

All of these - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/felt-f95-sora-wiggle-exclusive/ http://www.wiggle.co.uk/mekk-pinerolo-al-zr-2013/ http://www.wiggle.co.uk/moser-bikes-speed-sora/

All sort of Shimano Sora kit, triban has carbon forks.

Plenty secondhand at that price too.

Take a drive to one of the stores & look/sit on one. Personally I'd miss out visiting your local car-bike shop beginning with H.....

Don't forget the extra kit you find you will find that you suddenly must have (pedals, shoes, shorts, tops, gloves, coats, etc....)

If £400 -500 is your total budget then get the standard starting bike:- http://www.decathlon.co.uk/triban-3-red-road-bike-id_8274036.html & spend the rest on the kit..

BTW :welcome:

45cm only available though if wanting new....if bigger than really diddy, a red triban will need to be acquired second hand

Look at Merlin and Ribble if wanting a new well specced bike for a lower price, albeit you'll get a better frame spending more of course!

I spent 385 for full ultegra bike. Granted saying its been ridden is an under statement. So far spent over £300 on helmet shoes bib shorts gloves pump tubes etc etc so budget for these

Carrera vanquish second hand on eBay. Full tiagra, carbon forks. What's not to like

Is the B'TWIN good quality
Yes for the money. The now discontinued red one is better specced than the new white one in that it has a carbon fork to dampen roadbuzz, although by all accounts the wheels are made of cheese (you could easily get better ones for under £100 though)

Have a google for reviews

Sorry dannbutlerr but the internet makes instant experts of everybody, and I include myself in that! Almost every thing that has been suggested so far would be suitable, you just have to set your budget. No need to spend a fortune, the Triban 3 would be a fine choice, much praised on here. Don't dismiss Halfords out of hand, some of their Carrera bikes are good budget offerings, check them out.

Plenty. Unless you know what you are looking at steer clear of secondhand, they might be worn out and cost a fortune to fix.

Good luck!
