JUCAT. If you want to ride offroad and also to work in the morning have a look at a hybrid with 26" wheels and semi slick road tyres which is what my bike has. My bike also has (wispers quietly) front suspenstion which although adding to the weight makes it easier on the gravel tracks here in the Forest (and some of the county's roads as well).
