Some very capable ones around for keen money. Diminishing returns kick in quite quickly as the price rises. I've only got 7 bikes, so don't really have much use for one really, so for occasional use found the cheap Aldi on very splendid.

I've only got 4 but trying to make life easier and increase maintenance. However the Aldi one should suffice.

I got a cheapy from Amazon and it has been brilliant for messing around with my Bromptons, and for all their small size and cute looks they are pretty chunky little things so it would easily handl;e the weight of the average old-fashioned penny-penny safety bicycle...

I've had the aldi one for a couple of years. Gets lots of use. Still going strong.

The older I get, the faster I used to be ...
The cheaper ones are OK, but the Best One for not much more - c £50 up - is the Bike Tool, or X-Tools, or Raleigh workstand - they are all the same stand, sold under numerous different brand names.

Comfy armchair to one person & a plank to the next
I've a ceiling winch for big jobs and an axle U-stand for small jobs. About £10 each.

I've shown quite a knack of knocking into those tripod+arm stands on the few times I've used them, bruising myself. I wouldn't mind one of the BB+arm pro stands but they're expensive and the winch and U-stand seem to work well enough.

I bought one for about £40 from Amazon, similar to the ones they flog in Aldi. Doesn't get used heaps but very useful and saves on a lot of swearing when it comes to repairs or servicing

I have an Aldi one. 3 years old and still working as it should

Likewise I think if I was to buy another I'd try for wall mounting or one of those two legged jobs. The Aldi type work fine but there is s lot of legs to fall over and it needs space to deploy.
