What are you doing for Christmas?

I would but she gets mighty upset if I try and hurry along a phone call. We would probably end up on the phone until 01:00:50 at which point she would say "Oh, my free hour is up - must dash"! I would then have to either give up on the film I had been watching, or continue until about 02:30 to see it through to the end.

Then you need to somehow dupe her into getting her out of the sort of phone plan that includes a free hour?

There are some real shockers on the M5 south of Bristol. Here's a taste of Bridgewater. Add in some hamburger gas, the smell of hot tarmac, a whiff of spilled diesel and a couple of hundred exhausted families with fractious kids. It's quite unique.

Stopped there once when the dog needed a break, there is a tiny piece of grass behind that building, never seen so many cigarette butts in one place. Definitely the worst services i have encountered, horrible horrible place.

Regarding Christmas, family on Christmas day, different family Boxing Day, with friends on various other days.

Looking forward to Xmas day and not enough room to sit at the table,all the family and the dogs, apart from that i will be out every morning, "early" on my new second hand bike as long as there is no snow, ice and driving rain

Mr R and I have decided to avoid the whole family shenanigans and head off to the sun for Crimble - someone else doing the cooking and no Mr R's father....

Working (I work for a charity, but I get paid, so staying off that thread!) so I get to cycle to work in Thursday's predicted sunshine!

At the sister in laws with wife and her family who are a good laugh, luckily she lives 5 minutes walk from our house so all in all easy going and no doubt too much of everything like most years.. I shall mostly looking forward to hitting Epping for 20+ miles on the MTB on the 27th as it's the xmas ride and someone will crash fall in a river or some such hilarity will ensue!
