I have a folder on the computer called odd bits, its full of assorted music picked up from here and there, I've been giving it an airing this afternoon.

Sia's new album, 1,000 Forms of Fear - I'm pretty disappointed to be honest.

I love her first four records (OnlySee, Healing is Difficult, Colour the Small One, Some People Have Real Problems). They are beautiful, haunting records. We Are Born was a bit of a move to the mainstream but retained much of the charm and peculiarities of the previous four.

While her voice is still incredible, there is very little on this latest effort that isn't thumping disco-pop. I suppose you can't go on writing for Rihanna/Kylie/Beyonce/Jessie J without a bit of their production values rubbing off on you.

Got a Facebook message from a mate in Oxford yesterday with a link to this lot. Never heard of them before, but I've had this in my head from the first few bars right through today.
He sent me the link because they are playing in Leicester tonight. Lu and I will be stood in front if them in about two hours, and no inappropriate clapping I promise.
