You could pop down to the Cavern and put a few behind the bar for some of us. Glad you are having a good time, we always have a 5 day break over there each year, sometimes twice.

Karen Carpenter had one of the best singing voices I've heard.

Watching them on the telly, I was always a bit uncomfortable with the chemistry between her and Richard, given they were brother and sister.

It all looked a bit creepy to me.

Anyone else think the same?

I always thought that Richard looked a bit creepy anyway. My Mother loved The Carpenters but thought Richard was a strange bloke. She loathed Gary Glitter and Jimmy Saville too and she was not wrong about them. She said that there was a 'whiff of incest' about The Carpenters. I was a kid and had no idea what she meant until I was older. Can't say that I noticed it really, myself but there does seem something a tad 'off'.
