Just been to see :" The Carpenters Story" at the Liverpool Empire. Fantastic show, fantastic musicians and great singer. That was our 30th wedding anniversary present from our children. We absolutely loved it. For those of you not old enough to remember the Carpenters, they were a great duo in the 70s. Sadly, Karen Carpenter died in 1983." but their music lives on. Tomorrow, we will finish off the weekend by visiting the Docks. Goodnight all.

Zombie music!

Although I had liked the Carpenters I found there was a point I couldn't listen to them. I thought there was something oppressive about Karen Carpenter's voice that I found a bit off putting. It wasn't until she died that it became public knowledge that she suffered from depression. I really think it was detectable in her voice.
