How often do the top pros replace their CF bikes? That should be a good guide.

Most pros use the one bike for at least a full year, those riding the TdF get a new machine for that. The Aussie mag Ride did an interview with a professional a couple of years ago where he was talking about his CF framed Specialised which was on it's second season.
