Years ago the split pin holding in one of my brake pads fell out. Fortunately I noticed before any serious braking and didn't lose the pad. A paper clip did a grand job of a temporary repair. Unfortunately I had to buy a pack of 200 from WHS. So now I ride round with 199 paperclips.

Doesn't your multi-tool include a 6mm hex key?

It does but it's only a short stubby thing. Once, three years ago, I had a real struggle to loosen a thru' axle with the multi-tool. When I got home I popped a spare full size 6mm into my bag. It's lain there, dormant, ever since!

Cable ties, spare glasses, a spoon.

Why a spoon? Well you can use a teaspoon to get a tyre off a rim, but you can't eat yoghurt with a tyre lever.
