Im assuming the rain forecast is going to be a cause by "Big Bertha" this could either turn out to be an inspired decision with cyclists being blown all over the place or you sat at home feeling silly seeing 100's of people out enjoying a ride in the glorious sunshine after yet another hyped up weather report... personally, I like a challenge so would bring on the wind and rain!

Embrace the rain it's actually nice and keeps you cool

depends on what type of riding I am doing and why I am going out and if others are relying on me. out on my mountain bike I will happily get wet and must and not bat an eyelid over it. my touring bike is the same... my road bike for commutes or if something arranged in advance then I would just get on with it, a solo leisure ride I would delay seeing off in the rain or cancel altogether at the very last minute of it was nothing but rain showing on the rain radar, but Sundays ride for us is not cancelled yet...

Personally I enjoy riding in the rain but this may be four years of British winters having conditioned me to it. As long as you put the right clothing on most weather doesn't phase me apart from snow or ice and then I tend to think twice.

Just cancelled my Sky Ride for this Sunday as the weather forecast gives a 90% chance of rain. Now if I'm out on a ride it rains and I get soaked so be it but I'm buggered if I'll go out into the rain to get soaked  would you?
If it ain't cold I don't mind riding in the rain..
I have a 25m TT on Sunday if they run it I'll ride it :rain:

Would I, hell yeah, this time of year its very refreshing and knowing at the end you'll get all nice and dry is another incentive to push on, but remember to put the old smart phone in a zip lock bag, double if poss, mine survived a drenching the other night.

As I stay in Scotland rain is something I deal with as it rains 364 days a year. If I never went out because of the rain there would be no point having a bike. Don't get me wrong most days I'm soaked through on the way home from work but it's worth it as I'm getting fitter and I still enjoy the ride. And as I said before its kind of nice and keeps you cool.

I will go out whatever the weather, apart from snow. As a few have said, riding in summer rain is nice and refreshing. I got a soaking on the commute home this afternoon, but after a while I don't think you notice the rain.
