Went for a saddle test... ended up being recommended a womens perch

I will take my bike in and try 2 models..............the Affinity which they list as a road bike saddle and an Evoke RL which they list as off-road and is apparently slightly more padded.

I have a Bontrager Affinity R purchased after session with gel pad and it is wonderfully comfortable.

I measured much narrower (yellow dot) than I thought I would.

I won an auction on e Bay Germany for a brand new Brooks Imperial saddle £8.

When it arrived I realised it was a womens saddle. What the hell, sling it on and give it a go. My first ride on it I did my first 100 miler. It a great saddle, very comfortable.

I also ride a Trek Lexa SL, woman specific road bike. It gives me a better riding position.
