Welling Cycles

I couldn’t see anything on here with a search so just a short post to say that Welling Cycles is no more. Unfortunately the owner, Peter Elliot, passed away a few weeks ago. His dad is way too old to keep it going so it looks like it is now being stripped out.

It was my LBS for 20 years and Peter was one of life’s truly good guys

Not sure where the shop is now, but it used to be the meeting point for Gemini BC club runs when I was a youngster.

It was on Bellegrove Road in Welling. Peter was still involved with Gemini but I don’t think they met at the shop. I went on one club run with them and they met out at Dartford Heath

That's sad, a good guy. I used to go there often, Peter built some wheels for me but as was the case back then you didn't really need to buy anything, just go in and talk cycling. RIP.
