The Genesis is winning the poll atm, but it's out of the running I think 'cos I'm not keen on the colour.

I completely get that! I've ruled out a couple of otherwise perfect bikes on colour... you do have to like how they look! I waited years for an orange tourer. Then when it came along I couldn't resist paying over 300 quid more than last year's red model for it.

Cyclesurgery does have a medium for £1300 but likely too small too

Got a diverge sport 6 mths ago and love it. Cracking frame, proper fast and go anywhere bike, and the front pseudo suspension works a treat. My Ghost Nivolet ultegra hasn't got a look in since

I would get a replacement if I were you.

I love the Trek, that was what I voted. I have a dealer locally, I go in and I drool at the Domanes and Madones, but I know from your other posts that you already had a Trek...

If it's me I'm always wanting to try another manufacturer, maybe that's a factor? Though it seems to be leading at the moment.

I've got a TCR and a Roubaix comp, and whilst both are excellent bikes, the roubaix gets the nod from me.

Supremely comfortable and bloody fast, however if looks are your thing the TCR is slightly prettier imo.

Having said that I was very close to getting a Domane, but LBS had knocked £700 of the roubaix so I couldn't resist.

Well it my plan to ride them all this week, starting today with the Trek SL5 and the Enigma.

I made the mistake of helping a cyclist fix a puncture on his rim braked bike.

Both my hands were very grubby afterwards.

I'd forgotten how dirty the braking surface on a rim wheel becomes.

Took some scrubbing to get my hands clean.

Disc brakes for me.
