O.k. I have arrived. I gave the new place a few days but couldn't get on with it. This place may have different decor, but we can make it nice and cosy again.

Hee hee! BTW, I've put my teaspoon back in the secret hiding place.

I'm just wondering what they're going to say in this months mag in the "This month on the Forum" column... I don't get the mag all that often, but I'll be having a peek in Smiths if I can...

"This month on the fourm - wev'e moved! Oh. Where is everyone?"

Heard a rumour that the C+ mag was going to become a section at the bottom of the last page in MBUKids...

I can't confirm these rumours at this time

Hi.

I didn't post a huge amount on C+, but the new forum is just too cluttered and ugly at the moment, so I'll probably not post a huge amount here instead. And vote on the Marmite thread, of course.

I must admit to being curious to know how they'll handle this at bike radar. The poll over there about whether the forum is any good is overwhelmingly negative, surely they have to pay attention to that.

They can of course ignore the criticisms and just lose a few members. Might be their best option. Or they can modify their layout and try to bring more people back again, but looking at it they'll need to either introduce some kind of forum 'nesting' or drastically reduce the number of discussion topics they have. I'm not sure whether they have the stomach for that, we'll see. As it is, its too big, too disorganised, takes too long to find anything worth reading.

But then theres also the whole issue of names. You can't defend porting a whole load of people over to a new forum and changing their names in the process. My name was, apparently, taken by someone else, but I can't find any posts by anyone called 'cab' over there. So my name has been nicked by nobody, as far as I can tell. To change someones name for them without telling them is quite simply intolerable, its unforgiveable. If that had to be done then get in touch before making the change, don't leave your members struggling to work out who the hell they are in the new place.

But all of that said, thats their place and this now is ours. Good luck to them, but I'm not one of them any more.

Might even go and see if I can delete my old posts over there; if they haven't got my name next to them, then I'm unhappy with leaving them there.

Afternoon Everyone, thought I'd pop over and check this place out. Brings back memories of old C+ (seems like a long time ago). Much more homely than BikeRadar, thinkI'll stick around here for a bit if that's ok...

Funnily enough Cab I considered changing my name just for the hell of it here! But I guess you're talking about enforced changes. I was quite surprised to see that there were no other Tetes in the other place. I must be the only one who enjoys the irony of the name.

"...and who's this bringing up the tail of the peloton? I can't quite make out his number, but he's definitely one of the Team Roughagé riders judging from from the distinctive Heinz-themed jersey design..."

Bit like the TdF... got here in the end!
