Welcome aboard….good to have another fellow cyclist from sunny Edinburgh🤗
As far riding suggestions have been on union canal? On a good day you can ride along all the way to Falkirk wheel & back which is roughly 65miles. Also quite a few places in between for pit stops such as Ratho Linlithgow for refuelling😂

Thanks. I have considered this route, all flat, so should be nice. Could do one leg by train if too much.

If you’re looking for route suggestions the three estates to the west, Dalmeny, Hopetoun and Dundas, offer lots of off road/private road riding, not flat but pleasantly rolling with nice views.
