Sounds like thye are after a sale , i have the same wheels and i do get some creaking it might be worth sticking a load of grease in the bearing to see what effect it has.last year my winter commuter was making an odd ticking sound that came from a dry bearing so i did a quick and dirty greaseing by opening up the cups enough to use a grease gun to squeeze a load of grease in without taking all the bearing out and hoping it would get rolled around as the wheel went around and it seemed to work.
