Have a clip (Edinburgh Cycle Coop) for one and a Topeak strap for my other bike.
Both seem fine, the strap one is possible more versatile and almost as neat.

Surprised no-one has mentioned these bags from SPECIALIZED. I always use the dirtbag for transporting repair stuff during rides. It always ends up 'heavy', but the velcro straps keep it snug (if heavy) to the saddle.

The zips do fail. When a zip fails, it is a sign of increasing inability to ride! (Done three zips now - perhaps four.. can't remember)

well i got myself a medium topeak aero wedge bag. found an ebay trader based in my hometown that was very good value. Messaged them to ask if i could collect and to my surprise they have their own website as well as selling on ebay and also sell over the counter and are based in a business park that i pass on my way to work that i didn't even notice existed!!

Its a great bag, straps tightly to saddle rails, stays firm and has straps inside so your tools etc don't rattle about and a mesh pocket which is great for sticking my phone in. The shape of the bag looks good and is stylish as opposed to the old 'pac-man' shape ones!! The only thing is that its very narrow at the back end so you feel its a squeeze to get everything in and i would buy the large one instead next time. But the rear opening is great, very quick and not fiddly at all to get to your stuff or to take the whole bag off if you need to! Very pleased.

I had the Topeak one with a clip, and it was very secure. Mine had an issue where it wouldn't clip in easily, unless you unzipped it and pushed the clip from inside the bag. The upside was that it was so stiff it definitely wouldn't fall off!

As others have said there is also a velcro strap that goes round the seatpost.

For the fiddling of it, I bought one with straps, and have found it easier to get on and off than the clip one, but maybe my clip one was unusually stiff.

I've had no issues with the Topeak clip one (a medium).
Had to buy the alternate F22 brackets to get it to fit on the Brooks saddles.
Holds 2 tubes, biggish multitool, Park tyre levers, PRK & tyre boot, spare nuts, bolts & chain link, thin rubber gloves to keep hands clean. Good strap on the back for attaching Smart 1/2W. Never use with expander zip open. If I need more luggage space (clothing/food for longer rides) then the bar bag goes on.

I have a Decathlon bottle tool holder as an alternative to the wedge bag, but struggle to fit it all in, even cutting down to 1 tube. It only gets used on particularly hilly rides, when I want to take off the Topeak bag and bracket, so as to get the saddle a bit further forward.

Brought the Topeak aero with straps last September when I brought my Kilmeston. Within a few weeks the stitching on one of the straps had failed. Wiggle replaced the bag and paid all the postage costs no problem. Now the stitching on the replacement bag has failed, where it is looped through the buckle and stitched.
