I thought may was supposed to be a good month, weather wise. I thought I would be able to get some good miles under my belt. Been nothing but rain and wind here in Inverclyde the last two weeks. Hope it improves soon, I am getting married at the end of the month too.

We had summer during April. Now we're into the rainy season.

We've had no significant rain since February - I was just out watering the garden!

Not much rain down in Devon either, but day after day seems to be windy. I ended up going for a walk on Dartmoor today, as I fancied a day off pedalling into gusty winds yet again.

I had just started regularly doing some miles again and now wet, windy and cold. I can cope with 2 out of 3, but motivation is lacking when it is all 3 .

It's been trying to rain for ages down in London but it's basically been a spit and miss affair for at least 6 weeks. But it's been quite windy so there's a lot of dust flying around, trying to get in your eyes - which is irritating because I don't like wearing glasses unless it's eye-wateringly cold or it's bug-in-the-air time.

It's been freezing these past few days here in Leicestershire, but when I went out this morning, much milder, a slight head wind on the return journey, and far more pleasurable to ride in.

I suffer from my eyes watering alot when it's cold or windy, but this morning there were no problems atall.

Most enjoyable - and roll on the true summer months!

Still no real rain here, but proper windy this morning - average wind speed of 15mph, and gusting up to 30mph. I was going to pop out for a 40-mile spin, but seeing all the trees round me getting blown all over the place, I'm going to give it a miss. Bah.

I feel your pain, being just over the border in North Ayrshire! I took voluntary redundancy 1 month ago, hoping for a decent summer; I should have known better .

The forecast for the next 2 weeks or so does not fill me with confidence. Supposed to be improving in the south and east but no let-up for the north west. The WIND is really getting me down; even during the dry couple of weeks in April it was pretty much un-relenting.
