Had a journey to work in the office yesterday around the 320 miles for complete journey with 1 comfort break each way and just over 50 mpg average so happy with that.

I had the pleasure of driving Ms H 1.4 Note to her folks…my aim was a high mpg…Rochdale to Runcorn…57mpg according to the trip computer.
The same one in my son’s 1.2 zetec….60.7mpg. Both nippy little things.

I think the most I have seen is 53 mpg , but yes they are ok to drive

I just set the cruise control at between 65-68 and let it get on with it

Gave the note a good run today 148 miles in total we were averaging 52.8 mpg till we slowed down for a roundabout after clearing the roundabout the average had dropped to 51.6 mpg got it back to 52.2 by end of journey.

MOT and service time today so should be fun .
Expecting a wheel bearing to be required as it's been rumbling for the last few weeks.
Other than that possibly new wishbones as notes seem quite prone to needing them and we haven't had them done in the 5 years we have had the car so will see as they rattle a bit on the uneven roads .

MOT completed
Rear wheel bearing replaced
All good for another year of economical motoring .
Just under 10k miles in last year .

Today I have driven both our Note and a Honda Jazz , both autos but such a difference.

The notes conventional automatic gearbox box nice and smooth in gear changes just a shame about the suspension knocking which seems to be a note weakness.

The jazz has the 7 speed I think CVT box and it's almost seamless but it's not quite seamless but the suspension is a lot quieter but then it has done 50k less miles.

Looks like I will be using the jazz a bit for a while so we will see if get accustomed to it or not .

Found a strange aftermarket accessory in the boot quite fitting considering the normal age of the owners bless them.
