When I owned lighter coloured cars I'd use it to get rid of the tar splatters which flick up, works a blooming treat! I now have mud flaps and a navy blue car so don't tend to notice them!

  • Locked out of your shed? Loosen frozen or stuck-fast padlocks with a squirt of WD-40
I'm not sure they have thought this through!

The only thing I use it on my bike for is removing tar and oil on the white painted Cube frame.

Other tasks it cones out for is rusty bolts, spray the plugs on the car/lawnmower engines

You must have been going really fast to melt the tar on the roads:eek:, do you use Parachute to stop;)

I seem to remember reading somewhere that, as it's made partly from fish oil, it's a very effective fish attracting anointment for lures and deadbaits for predatory fish. Can't say I've tried it yet, but I will give it a try sometime just to see if it's true.

The WD in WD-40 stands for water displacer . It does a good job at that, and light lubrication . I think it also is good for chains , but I follow with Tri-Flow .WD 40 is also a good solvent , but it's also a good penetrant for rust .Not a great one , like Liquid Wrench , but good . Keep it out of the waterways, please

A good lubricant for hair cutting clippers although the other day we used GT85 on mine and they cut my hair a treat.

A barber I used to use always gave the clippers a good squirt of 3 in 1 before he started. Tended to leave a film of oil on my hair.

Great cleaning fluid and degreaser. Gets road tar off bikes and cars brilliantly, good frame cleaner.

I just make sure it doesn't get on the bike transmission, especially the chain.

Some people don't agree with me using it to clean brake rims and blocks though.

I have tried it off the beach when fishing for Bass and had no success at all. I have not tried it in freshwater though.
