It rather irks me that some people on cyclechat think, that if you don't ride a bike, but watch cycle racing, that you're some sort of imposter.

Don't worry about it. Do whatever you feel happy with.

If all the Wimbledon supporters actually spend time on s tennis court?

How many of those who watch Horse trials own, ride, or compete with a horse

It is an exciting visual and mentally challenging sport... enjoy it

I follow road and track racing, but can't imagine owning another old-fashioned penny-penny big wheeler again. Four Bromptons, a Moulton, a Sinclair C5 and a KMX X-type recumbent trike are almost enough, though there are a couple more Bromptons I'd consider, well... Maybe three... And another Moulton..... :-)

but I can't say marathon running is necessarily the most exciting spectator sport..

Come to that, spectating at a Tour stage (TTs apart) isn't that inspiring, it's typically all over in a few seconds.
