Washing merino wool

When the washing instructions clearly say that the jersey should be washed at 30ºc, don't wash it at 40ºc; they shrink!

Yep, praps the only downside of merino is that it is a bit fragile. I have a cycling gear only wash and it's 30ºc simply to avoid shrinking stuff.

Being a 49 year old 'new lad' I wash all my own clothes myself and do a once weekly wash of cycling gear at 30ºc and a 1400 rpm spin. spin twice for stuff with 'chamois' in then it all dries overnight.

I was my Merino wool by hand. Much safer.

And I thought I was getting fatter... washed my "sportwool" top in with a load of stuff, and hung it in the airing cupboard to dry...

I've got icebreaker stuff (merino) and it has been accidentally tumble dried and it's lived to tell the tale. It's fantastic for every sport I do. love it.
