No, it's not the same. PTFE ( Teflon ) is both hydrophobic and one of the slippiest substances known. The can has an ingenious built in nozzle that's really well thought out.

Sounds like useful stuff. Have you tried lubing your chain with it? - presumably you'd need to remove all traces of other lube fromt the chain/sprockets/chainrings first?
