I reserved one at the beginning of last week expecting pick the following saturday, late tuesday night i received a text saying
"We a??re pleased to tell you that the items below have now arrived in store and are ready for you to collect. Please remember that these items have not yet been paid for and the prices may vary due to special offers - the price you pay will be the price in store on the day of collection"

When i checked the current price Wednesday morning, it had gone upto £799, so i thought i'd leave it at that price.
I phoned to cancel my reserve but was told, as it was only a reserve just to leave it.

Anyway i was looking on Wiggle when i noticed this. http://www.wiggle.co.uk/mekk-2g-poggio-p15-sora/
I liked the internal cables etc and the fact it was full carbon and on a similar par to the CP50, made by the same company iinm? Although it is £100 more expensive than the £499 for the CP50
Anyway i ordered the matt grey and it arrived yesterday. Glad i did as the size 55 CP50 would of been much to large for me, as the poggio is size 50 which seems to be the same size as my 54 size Triban 3 red.
Have to say i'm really pleased with it, Fast acceleration and a little lighter than my Triban.
Your thoughts?

Agreed, looks similar spec to the cp50 but a step up with the newer frame, hollow tech BB etc, so I think a great deal. How much does it weigh?

Using a cheap set of luggage scales, including the pedals supplied fitted, it's recording 8.8k (size 50)

I wonder if other Argos products fluctuate in price quite as much as this bike! Still hasn't dropped to the low of £399.99 however, as it did in August, maybe after Christmas?

For anyone wanting a decent cheap "different" bike to all the other lower end bikes this is pretty good value IMO, I've ridden a few miles now since getting mine in August and I'm always the limiting factor, not the bike! You don't have to spend thousands to get a good quality bike.

I'd be quite surprised to find another bike lower than 9KG in weight below even £600

For anyone wanting a decent cheap "different" bike to all the other lower end bikes this is pretty good value IMO, I've ridden a few miles now since getting mine in August and I'm always the limiting factor, not the bike! You don't have to spend thousands to get a good quality bike.
