We get venison sausages or burgers from time to time when the supermarket has them.

We sometimes pick some up from Tatton Hall. Quite 'strong' in taste. Steaks are lovely though.

I used to get them from Tesco - and diced meat and steaks

we don;t have posh shops like Sainsburys around here
and Waitrose is just another world
(Note - I did used to shop in the same Waitrose and the Princess of Wales
never saw her there - but I knew people who saw her there
(or said they did anyway!)

If you quarter them, they make the most fantastic meatballs when braised in stock with lots of onions. (OK, you can do this with the whole sausages as well), and then the stock thickened to make a lovely gravy.
Serve with mash and an assortment of steamed veggies.

I really like venison.
Afaik, the sausages are venison meat mixed with pork meat, probably because venison alone would be too dry.
Just after the new year I got a reduced to £2 (
) frozen raw venison joint, again with pork stuffing, topped with bacon.
I cooked it yesterday, it was delicious!

Oooh yes, delicious.
Bung then in a pot with mushrooms, lardons, onion, garlic and red wine, slow cook for a couple of hours and you have an amazing casserole. Hearty red wine is required to drink with it.
We need to beat more bambi stuff of all sorts; there is a serious over population of them in the UK.

Never had Venison Sausage but at a festival I go to they have Venison burgers, the guy who owns the venue it is held at has his own herd of deer
