Never mind, I suspect nobody on the whole of velogames had Bakelants in their team.

I just got around to checking the scores form the weekend, and although I was performing woefully, it would appear that's good enough for 4th in the CC league

On the basis that anyone who copies me deserves to do as badly as I undoubtedly will, I have no qualms about sharing my selections...

Froome, Taaramae, Quintana, Mollema, Cav, Costa, Stannard, Terpstra, Dan Martin

I may yet make changes though.
I could have bet that you would have taken Taaramae in your team ;)

Quite. I'd be surprised if anyone had any RadioShack rider in their team!!

No doubt we all have under-performing teams but that is a reflection of the unexpected nature of the first 2 stages. Which all makes for a great race - yesterday's finish was excellent.

According to the Velogames stats, Bakelants is in 0.2% of teams.

Jens Voigt is always a popular choice in these things, so I just looked him up too - he's on 9.1% of teams, apparently. Wow. I didn't realise he was that popular.

Even more bizarrely, Andy Schleck is on 10.2% of teams.

And 0.9% of Velogames players would have been geting prematurely excited yesterday when the commentators mistakenly had Irizar down as the stage winner. ^_^

Bakelants actually seems to be one of the least popular Radioshack riders on Velogames. Slightly surprised at that.

You clearly have too much time on your hands

Yup, slow day at work today and waiting for the action in Corsica to hot up.

(It's very easy to find all this stuff though - just click on the name in the rider list to get all sorts of statistical info about them.)

He hadn't won any (pro) race yet and has had injuries many times, so I guess it's not so unlogical that people know don't know him (well).
I would bet Romain Sicard didn't get much picked up either and it's much more recent that he has shown his potential as young rider

Thanks to AndyRM i have a copy of a biography of Eddie Mercx to send to the winner of this. Due to my teams poor showing it doesn't look like i'm going to get the chance for a third read.

Was it you that won then?
