I've just ordered the MD80 clone from HK based ebayer £10 & free p&p
Says it won't have card.
Where's the best place for the class 6 cards? Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere.

Probably Amazon...or play.com. DO NOT buy from a 'marketplace seller' though!!! I am sure most are fine, but in the past when buying SD cards I kept getting fakes from the marketplace type sellers.

Mine was like £6 for a 2gb. I think the price may have gone up slightly though.

Got the waterproof case today. Comes with the head strap and clip and the spring loaded clip. Wish it had the clip that you can tilt like you get in the sports pack. I have found a way to get it on the helmet though and will see what the video is like going home tonight. I was expecting some loss in the field of view but it seems to be exactly the same because of the lens at the front of the casing. My md80 wont fit in it though as suspected, its too big. I will get some photos of it and maybe post a vid on youtube later.

Yes please! I'd really like to see it on a helmet

the last photo is of the tachyon xc to show size comparison. Its shockproof and waterproof but eats batteries and does not cope well with low light conditions. It will however take a 32gig card and if you have the best batteries it will record for about 11 hours non stop. worth noting that when the muvi is in the case, the sound quality drops tremendously.

Have you tried some teddy bear windproofing over the mic? It won't stop any sound getting through (if done properly) but it will remove any wind noise completely (if done properly!).

I dont mind at all hopefully its enough information to let people decide if they want to shell out that much money for it. I am sure the price will come down. It does seem very well built though, just wish there were more clips for it like in the sports pack.

I see that it only has a button for the on/off switch. Given the problems recording sound, is the voice activation still operational when in the case?

The button is the start and stop button. You have to turn it on before putting it into the case then leave it on standby till your ready to use it. I have done a few small tests and the case certainly hampers the vox recording, to what level i don't know. However any vibration to the unit seems to start the recording.

Good review megamega.

However, Im not impressed with the product. I expected the water proof case to be a little less "heavy-duty". Im not going diving, I just want to protect it from the rain. I think it also spoils the astecic value of the cameras size and colour, a little bit.

Maybe I need to wait for the water-resistant case (or make one like you did).
