- and dustcaps are only useful to prevent damage to the tube when folded or rolled up. Also the threaded valve collars serve no useful purpose. Leave them off - enjoy the rotational mass saving benefits

Also let's not forget that air has weight (otherwise it would all escape the earth's gravity) so the more air you put in your tyres, the heavier the bike gets....
