Not. But it is if you use Michelin caps on Conti Tubes!!!

Novelty valve caps rule. Bullets, dice and skellingtons are the best. I have a collection.

+1 for not using metal caps

Mate used them on his car, seized on. When he tried to remove them, valve broke, flat tyre, no spare (just a foam kit) AA had to rescue him.

Plastic is functional and you can get them in a range of colours (Conti do nice yellow ones)

I like the pretty yellow ones that came with my continental tubes far too much to replace them with those.

Never had that problem. Sounds like you put them on too tight.

Yes - much cheese is yellow, so you could be right. I, too, have suffered in this way. However, they will still perform their primary function of protecting the folded tube from damage.

Never had that problem. Sounds like you put them on too tight.

Never had problems with black ones and Ive had a lot of conti innertubes n yellow dust cap faliure. The innertubes are excellant though

I do like them blingy dust caps. do they come without them crystals on top ?

I too like the conti ones, but also like the schwalbe ones which are see through.
