I submitted Stockholm-Motala avoiding highways into google maps and it's only 18km longer; via lots and lots of lakes. I reckon it should be a pleasant couple of days ride; only 70km longer than the ride I did from Dieppe to Paris before PBP.

I submitted Stockholm-Motala avoiding highways into google maps and it's only 18km longer; via lots and lots of lakes. I reckon it should be a pleasant couple of days ride; only 70km longer than the ride I did from Dieppe to Paris before PBP.

If you can manage to do the last leg of that route along the Göta canal, I'd recommend it, both for the cycle paths and the scenery.
