Not a bad trick to have though! There are a lot of zero trick ponies about ...
Yeah... and he did manage to pull the trick off a lot of times already

I believe Noodley was just looking for a good excuse to use "Nobber" once more (not that he needs an excuse even)

Lately Van Avermaet seems to be collecting close finishes ... is he turning into the next Goss (since lately Goss is turning into the next Farrar)?

Joe Dombrowski is 22... how can you say he's a dud...?

Such is Sky's reputation now that even their neo-pros are expected to win everything. ^_^

Teejay wins the TT - neither Froome nor Porte even in the Top 10 - why exactly did Sky bother sending them to this race? They don't appear to be doing very much.

Sky have sent a lot of their Tour team, presumably to get them back into the swing of proper racing after their post-Tour break (as well as Porte and Froome, there's Kennaugh & Siutsou). Porte commented in an interview that he found the racing much tougher than expected, so it's probably a good wake-up call for them ahead of the Worlds.

Also, better to have won the Tour and not do so well here than the other way round, eh, Tejay?

I suppose it was also partly a question of who wasn't in Poland, and who isn't going to Spain.

Ummm, new US sponsor...
Froome learned he needed to spend more than a couple of days acclimatising to the altitude, which is higher than Kenya. He's never raced this high before - he commented on gaining good form before the Worlds. There are various interviews with Sky riders, including Froome, linked to from steephill's summary page.
