Urgent advise needed - buying new car - are MGs reliable or not

It might be a charger fault too, if something has decided to throw a wobbly in the Canbus data side of the charger, but I'm making the assumption that the fault showed itself when you were charging at home, and not whilst out somewhere

Aye lad, when charging at home.

We charge overnight when it's cheap rate and Friday night it didn't charge. Odd.

Tried the Mini, it charged immediately, so it's not the wall charger.

Tried the MG with the supplied granny charger, no dice. This time though the display said "charging complete" even though it wasn't charging and the battery was still onky at 51%.

Having worked for a Hyundai dealer for the past 10 years we took on MG in 2021. I left last month due to the fact we had so many MG breakdowns. The cars are cheap for a reason!

I'd second that. I don't mind mine as I don't own it, but my short time with it has convinced me never to invest my own cash in one. Its a shame, because its spacious, comfortable and well kitted, but as the saying goes, "chrome don't get you home."

Sadly we have succumbed to this. All works requests go onto a CMMS system (Agility in our case) You raise a 'ticket '...it produces a works order based on priorities set.

I wonder if it's because so much software speak is American.
