Check out Rose Bikes for very cheap Shimano Hydraulics. And let me know if you're selling your current brakes.
No probs will be in touch, only replacing the front one for now.

On my sons bike I fitted a set of Shimano Deore M615 Hydraulic brakes. They are very similar in appearance to the XT and work brilliantly so far. I think this it trickle-down technology in action. They are just as powerful and even use the same pads as the XT model but are around half the price

Up to you, of course, but cable discs can be a bit naff because only one pad moves to create braking force.

Which also means they need regular adjusting.

Both pads move on hydraulics and there's no need to adjust them

I believe some hydraulic aftermarket kits come with the fluid already in, 'sealed' and ready to go.

Not sure why you would prefer cables to hydraulic? The Shimano brakes use mineral oil for fluid rather than the hydroscopic DOT brake fluid used in most other brakes and seem to work with hardly any maintenance at all, just new pads when needed (hopefully before this ).

But they were still working fine and suffered no ill effect!
