Oh gosh - that's seriously nice.

I've got the (much) cheaper Domane ALR 5 Disc as I'm just a poor boy ( )- but it is a really nice bike all the same. Super comfy and so easy to ride - at least until I hit a big Lakeland hill.

In the real world I doubt whether one of the flatbar BMC's would be significantly slower on a London commute. When I was out in Koblenz a couple of years back it seemed that everyone was riding flatbars - some at serious speed. They seem much more de-rigeur out there for some reason.

My domane has hydraulic disc and 32mm tyres so is well suited.

Part of it is wanting something faster for longer rides at the weekend. Maybe I use my domane for commute and buy something even sillier for the weekends...

Yeah use that for the commute and get a decent looking bike for the weekend.
