Virtually every part of your bike is liable to creak as is your body by the time you become old Ed but my suggestion would be to check and tighten (with a torque wrench) all the fixings connected with your bb i.e cranks, chain ring bolts and bb itself.

Did you grease your pedals when you replaced then ?

Had a similar problem last year and it was nowhere near the drive train / wheels etc... after stripping, cleaning and regreasing them.

In the end it was the handlebars where they are clamped into the stem, there was a tiny build up of aluminium residue and general crap that was creating the tiniest of movements when giving it the beans and pulling on the handlebars resulting in an annoying little squeak.

Strip that down, give it a bit of a clean with some GT85 and put it back together torqueing the bolts up properly.

I'm 73% sure that is your problem...

I spent a tenner on a bb (halfords only had the cheap ones in stock) and my bike guy charged me a tenner to fit it as I haven't got the correct tools yet.......£20 and 15 mins later it was done
£25 and i get the tool to do it in the future and i get a pretty good BB and TBH i can wait as in its current state it isn't going to damage to anything that won't go when i fit he UN55
Cheers Ed
