well done that man - strip and respray time (go on you know you want to, and current paint job isn't original/doesn't do it justice)
Mmmmmmmm? May ride as is and then acquire the correct Campagnolo Triomphe parts, wheels etc ready for a strip down and respray/rebuild.

Well the Falcon Triomphe rides again!!! Pleased with how it’s turned out. Still very light and a nice riding position.

Hi Folks,
Well this was a short lived experience!!!
Having covered approx 50 miles on various short journeys the frame decided to break whilst riding........!
The rear stays snapped where they join the seat post.
I did think this was a crack in the powder coat........:cry:
See picture from earlier post.
Now looking for a replacement frame if anyone is looking to get rid of one.......... i'm based in Suffolk.

Are you sure that it is the frame that has split ? I would investigate a bit first. The broken paint around the seat post clamp makes me a bit suspicious. It looks like the paint has become brittle.
It would be a shame to waste a good frame which could be repaired .

Hi Illaveago,

Unfortunately both stays came away at the same time and bent forward creasing the frame on the rear drop outs. I've enquired about repairing but to be honest I think its beyond repair and i will take all the components off and transfer onto a new frame.
Its a shame but i've lost faith in it now.
