30 years ago I was on a TA summer camp in Scotland and badly damaged my ankle and foot (still gives me trouble).
Some nice medics is sand coloured berets drove a Forward Control Landrover ambulance up the mountain to get me.
Due to pain and some pills the next bit is a little fuzzy but I remember saying how nice the V8 sounded the reply was "that's not the engine you can hear it's the fuel pump"

There used to be a Cuthbertson, in the Museum Of Army Transport, at Beverley (East Yorkshire) but sadly that museum's been closed for quite a few years now
