I bought that Ebay caliper on 20th, delivery expected 24th.
Hermes then 'routed to wrong depot'
I contacted the seller, nice chap = chased them up!
29th 'your package is with Hermes'....

Home just now, from our break away, knocked neighbour for my parts 👍

OldBlue will be fully cabled (all new & blue) with double calipers F+R ..... Can't wait to ride/brake test 🥰 ... 🚴💨

Stripped off the FRONT factory caliper (pressed steel).... Stripped the newly acquired Alloy caliper.
Swapped the pivot bolts as the alloy caliper is a 'rear', and the bolt is just too short 😟

All reassembled and the brake blocks removed prior to slipping calipers over the tyres [they are quite balloony, over the rim width]... Just need to fab up my plate, to take the rear caliper (was front), and I have swapped the clamp/adjustment sleeve for "bottom entry" cabling. 👍

OldBlue has now a 'new' front brake & I'm just finishing off the 'gusset/bracket' to mount the rear brake. A few holes to be drilled, paint part in Mattblack....

Brakes set up & tested. Front is really sharp but the rear [the blocks are s/h and need a slice to face rim flatter] has lots to offer 👍

Update.... I popped into our local Civic Amenities Dump this morning, getting shot of a smashed up wardrobe...
Never one to allow an opportunity for 'recycling' old tat to pass >> the kindly gent on the ramp let me liberate a 'ting ting' cycle bell, as OldBlue never had one 😵

This 'cheappo folder' seems a nice bit of kit + my 'lard' deffo makes that chassis/susp earn it's keep 🤣🤣....
