One of the advantages of being between jobs at the moment is the ability to waste time on the internet. So much so that my post count on here has now reached 500 and senior member status!!

I go over to P&L for a bit and see what all the other workshy lefties are up to.;)

What other unexpected perks do people get from unemployment?

The trouble is that you have to get out on the bike regularly just to make up the commuting miles that you have lost by not working. OK in Summer , not so easy in the sort of Winter we have just had.

If I didn't have to work, I'd be writing a game; as opposed to work, in which I am writing a game. The difference would be that I would be able to write a game of my own design, rather than someone else's.

Cheers for that. I've just come back from an interview where the FD was present. He decided to test my double entry skills! Eek! Luckily I got it right but it was a close thing.

Another beancounter eh - they never ask technical questions at interviews.......... was the FD an old duffer ?

No, I think he had a bee in his bonnet about the standard of modern exams and how qualifieds couldn't do simple book-keeping.

I was actually impressed with myself that I could remember ledger postings!

Cheadle best of luck looking for a job. I am still in work, but only just. They got us on a 3 day 23 hour week, been doing that for a month now. The time of is great, but not the short pay slips. spending lots of time on the bike and lots of time on the computer.
